CRISIS RESOURCES

NAMI Missoula is not a crisis line and does not provide crisis counseling or intervention. If you, or someone you know, are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or 988 (Montana Crisis Line). In Missoula, you can ask the 911 operator for either the Crisis Intervention Team or the Mobile Support Team; both groups are trained to respond to mental health crises.

Missoula also has a mental health crisis facility: Riverwalk Crisis Center (406-532-8411) is located at 1315 Wyoming in Missoula. The center is open 24/7; no appointment or referral is required, and services are free for those without insurance. Riverwalk offers trauma-informed care (for up to 24 hours) for adults (18+) experiencing mental health crisis. Services include medical and psychiatric evaluation, crisis observation & support, symptom stabilization, therapy, peer support, referrals, links to community resources, etc.
